Plant and spatial ecologist at the Department of Applied Geoinformatics and Spatial Planning, Czech University of Life Sciences (Prague).
He achieved his PhD at Roma tre University (Italy), investigating the relationships between spatial patterns and biological processes through remote sensing in coastal ecosytems.
He is currently involved in several research projects, among these: tracking biodiversity from space, investigating effects of beach litter cleaning through UAVs, detecting relationships between spectral variance and functional diversity.

He is a member of the YS (Young Scientist) Steering Committee of the International Association of Vegetation Science (IAVS).
