30 July 2018. Nanuq safely arrived in the Svalbard archipelago today! The team is two full days ahead of schedule, thanks to strong winds in their favour during the voyage. According to Captain Peter Gallinelli, the landing at Svalbard was very smooth – except for a lack of wind right on the approach.

The team will now spend their extra time in Svalbard exploring the southernmost part of the archipelago, before heading to Longyearbyen and then continuing on to Ny Alesund.
